Main Creek Puppy Sale Policy

All puppies placed through Main Creek will be carefully placed in responsible approved homes.  We require all potential
puppy owners to be fully educated on the German Short hair breed.  This breed is not for everyone.  This breed does
best with an active family and demands attention and obedience guidelines.  If you have done your part with your GSP,
your GSP will be a loyal, hard working sporting dog and family member.  GSP's love to work for you as long as the
he/she respects you.  All dogs need guidelines just like children.  Love them, outline your rules of your home, enforce
those rules, exercise. Love and attention and you will wonder what you did without a GSP before.  GSP's are a breed
that love to be a part of the family.
Truly an amazing breed.

We want all our puppy owners and their pup to be good matches.  We have very limited puppies each year and we truly
wish that if you own a Main Creek pup to keep in contact with us periodically with the progress of your dog.  All
responsible breeders have a purchase agreement/health guarantee and will require it in writing.  Parvo disease is a
deadly disease that kills puppies.  A puppy can contract Parvo
absolutely anywhere.  Many breeders give a Parvo shot
at 7 weeks and require another at 9 weeks, which is typically after you have received the pup.  We believe that keeping
a pup  through his/her 2nd Parvo (1st shot at 6 weeks, 2nd at 8 weeks) shot greatly reduces the risk of your pup
contracting Parvo.  Again Parvo is everywhere and we would rather be sure your pup has it's 2nd shot to greatly reduce
that risk before they are transported off the property.  This ensures the best start for your pup. We also believe that
getting a puppy a proper start here at our place by socialization and exposure to the country life, kids other dogs gets
your puppy a great start for you to continue.  You can see the difference immediately in a pup that has had lots of
hands on and situations to deal with versus a puppy raised in a kennel with no attention or exposure.  We are
passionate about are dogs and if we are selling you a puppy are expecting no less from you. It is very hard to part with
puppies when you have put the time necessary into them to give them this start, but it is all worth it when we meet the
new quality families our pups are going to.  Here at Main Creek we are always welcome to suggestions on anything that
you feel we could do better, after all our goal is world class short hairs and we need your input to accomplish this.  We
have references available upon request and please do not hesitate to ask for them.

We are working hard to keep quality GSP's associated with Main Creek Kennel and our stud dog Gauge.  We strongly
recommend spaying and neutering your pup.  It is best for the pup and the family.  We also hope that if you are really
interested in a pup for breeding purposes that you openly talk with us about it.  Again we are trying to keep our program
and pedigrees superb and all it takes is a couple of main creek pups to be bred with a below average quality GSP and it
then is a snowball effect.  Everything we are working towards keeping has now introduced problems back into the
program.
If I can stress one point please please do your research when choosing
any breed of dog, be sure they are right for
you, we NEVER want to hear of a main creek pup in an animal shelter.  If there is than we are not doing our job well
enough in choosing our homes and our puppy owners are not doing theirs.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us, we would like you to ask questions.
